Firefighters from Hammonton responded to Atlantic City with a high-water vehicle and personnel from their Swift/Flood Water Rescue Team to support the Atlantic City Fire Department amid extensive coastal flooding.
The Hammonton team was tasked with assisting in water-rescue efforts and answering emergency calls in regions impacted by increasing floodwaters. The deployment occurred as a powerful nor’easter delivered heavy rain, fierce winds, and coastal flooding to the Jersey Shore.
The Atlantic City Fire Department served as the main fire-rescue agency in the city, with Hammonton firefighters offering supplementary support for high-water and flood rescue operations.
