Galloway Twp., N.J. — September 28, 2026 — On Monday night, firefighters participated in a training exercise centered on advancing hose lines, managing water flow, and operating pumps.
The training involved work with junior and probationary members to improve hose line deployment and water flow. Meanwhile, newer drivers got hands-on experience operating the pump and moving water using the department’s new engine before being approved to drive the apparatus.
The training was carried out by the Germania Volunteer Fire Company, a component of the Galloway Township Volunteer Fire Department. Galloway Township acknowledges five volunteer fire companies as its official fire department: Oceanville, Germania, Pomona, Bayview, and South Egg Harbor.
