Jacksonville Fire Company Hosted Fire Safety Education for Students

Bordentown, N.J. — September 25 — Members of Jacksonville Fire Co.Station 212 visited Springfield Elementary School on September 25 as part of a fire safety education program aimed at teaching students about fundamental fire prevention and emergency preparedness.
The firefighters engaged with the students and used a hands-on method to explain key safety concepts.
This program allowed the children to learn about the role of firefighters, how to react during a fire, and the importance of following safety guidelines.
Jacksonville Fire Co. Station 212 is located at 1793 Jacksonville-Jobstown Road in Springfield Township. The township noted that Jacksonville is one of three volunteer fire companies serving the 30-square-mile community, with other stations in Juliustown and Jobstown.
Springfield Township, NJ Fire prevention education has always been a key part of the department's role within the community.
The Springfield Township fire service includes fire prevention and public education as part of its emergency services. Springfield, NJ Fire safety programs conducted at local schools provide firefighters with an opportunity to introduce children to fire safety before an emergency occurs.
Students gained knowledge through direct interaction with emergency personnel and became familiar with the equipment and individuals who respond to calls in their community.
The visit on September 25 continued Jacksonville Fire Co.'s commitment to community education and contributed to early awareness of fire safety among Springfield Elementary students.
