Members of the Tri-County Volunteer Fire Company took part in two separate 25th-anniversary 9/11 remembrance activities, honoring the people who died in the attacks and the first responders who answered the call.
Some Tri-County members brought Engine 29-61 to Liberty State Park in Jersey City, where they joined firefighters, EMS personnel and police officers from across the region to observe the Tribute in Light, the annual memorial illumination visible over Lower Manhattan.
Other Tri-County members traveled into New York City and attended a memorial service at FDNY Engine 10 and Ladder 10, commonly known as “ Ten House,” located directly across from the World Trade Center site.
