Clinton Firefighters Put Standpipe Operations to Work

Clinton, N.J. — September 22 — Members of the Clinton Fire Department traveled to Courtyard Luxury Senior Living for a hands-on drill focused on standpipe operations.
Firefighters deployed high-rise hose packs and connected to standpipe outlets at multiple locations inside the building. The exercise allowed crews to practice establishing hose lines and water delivery in a senior living facility, where firefighters may need to operate inside a large, occupied structure.
At the same time, Courtyard staff conducted a fire drill with residents, giving both the fire department and facility personnel an opportunity to practice their roles during an emergency.
