Two Stratford Fire Officers Join First Responders at Tunnel to Towers

— September 27, 2026 — Captain Daniel Camburn and Lieutenant Dylan Jess from the Stratford Fire Department participated Sunday in the 25th annual Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in New York City, joining thousands of others in paying tribute to firefighters, law enforcement officers, military personnel, and civilians impacted by the September 11 attacks. 

The event retraced the path that FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller took on September 11, 2001. After ending his shift, Siller headed toward the World Trade Center, jogging through the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel then called the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel while carrying his firefighting equipment. He was one of the 343 FDNY firefighters who died on September 11.
