Fire Official Completed FI-210 Training

Jackson, N.J. — September 26 — Fire Official Stanley J.O'Brien Jr.of Jackson Township Fire District No.4 successfully completed the FI-210 Wildland Fire Origin and Cause Determination course, which provides specialized training in investigating wildland fires.

The course, which lasted for a week, covered various methods used to identify the starting point and cause of wildland fires.

The National Wildfire Coordinating Group has recognized FI-210 as an instructor-led course designed for wildland fire investigators. The training included topics such as investigation techniques, evidence collection, and scene documentation, as well as both classroom instruction and hands-on practice.

This training equips firefighters and fire officials with enhanced skills for examining fire scenes and recording information that can help determine the origin and cause of a fire. It also included practical exercises aimed at helping students apply investigation methods in realistic scenarios.

Jackson Township Fire District No. 4 provides fire protection services throughout its jurisdiction and maintains its headquarters at 465-A North County Line Road. The New Jersey Division of Fire Safety has listed Stanley J.O'Brien Jr. as the district's Fire Official.

The completion of this training has strengthened the district's ability to conduct fire investigations and supports ongoing professional growth within the fire service.
