Jackson Firefighters Completed Live-Burn Training

Jackson, N.J. — September 19 — Members of Jackson Township Fire District No.4 took part in live-burn training at the Ocean County Fire Training Center, where they practiced essential fireground tasks under realistic fire conditions.

The training covered a range of critical activities, including fire attack, search and rescue, ventilation, crew coordination, and communication during emergencies.

Firefighters engaged in hands-on exercises to improve their ability to perform tasks during structure fires. The live-fire environment also gave them the chance to work together as a team in situations that closely resemble real-world emergencies.

The Ocean County Fire Training Center is a facility that offers practical training for firefighters and other emergency personnel.

Its Fire Academy provides training for new recruits as well as courses on topics like reading smoke, understanding how fire spreads, firefighter rescue techniques, large-area searches, and awareness of flashover risks.

4 serves a service area of approximately 17 square miles and operates two fire stations.The district’s main headquarters is located at 465-A North County Line Road, Jackson.

During the training session, Jackson Township EMS provided medical support as a backup.

The department frequently collaborates with other emergency services during both training and actual response operations.

This training session gave firefighters the chance to sharpen their skills, enhance team coordination, and prepare for future emergency calls.
