East Montpelier Fire Department Conducted Fire and EMS Training

East Montpelier, VT — September 22 — The East Montpelier Fire Department kept up its training and professional growth activities, as firefighters worked to keep their skills sharp for fire fighting, rescue, and emergency medical care.

The department, located at 54 Village Acres, offered fire prevention, fire suppression, and emergency medical services to East Montpelier and nearby areas.

The team handled both fire and emergency medical services, which is why ongoing training was essential to keep their response abilities up to date.

Training was a normal part of Vermont’s emergency services network.

The Vermont Fire Academy offered classes on firefighter certification, handling hazardous materials, controlling wildland fires, and other important skills for fire departments throughout the state.

Recent training sessions in Vermont also involved hands-on learning in topics like ventilation, how fires behave, fire suppression techniques, equipment handling, and safe work habits.

These sessions were meant to give firefighters real-world experience they could use during actual emergencies.

For East Montpelier firefighters, ongoing training helped reinforce the department's procedures, familiarize them with equipment, and improve communication and teamwork among personnel.
