On September 11, 2026, firefighters from the Burlington, Williston, South Burlington, and Hartford departments traveled to New York City to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks and pay tribute to those who perished.
Vermont firefighters joined their counterparts in New York City for the anniversary commemorations, upholding a longstanding tradition to honor the victims and first responders who lost their lives while responding to the attacks.
