Joint Ladder Training Brings Middlesex and Pilot Firefighters Together

— September 21 — Members of the Pilot Fire Department and firefighters from the Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department gathered for a combined session to become familiar with Ladder 5’s equipment. 

The training allowed firefighters to revisit the ladder truck’s fundamental functions and abilities, helping them become more acquainted with gear they might use when collaborating with neighboring departments. 

The session also allowed firefighters from both departments to exchange knowledge, talk about equipment, and become more familiar with each other’s operations. That kind of training can enable crews to operate more efficiently when multiple departments are involved in the same emergency.
