Foster Center Fire Company Marked Labor Day

Foster, RI — September 7 — The Foster Center Volunteer Fire Company celebrated Labor Day by sending out a message expressing well wishes to the residents and members of the emergency services community for a safe holiday.

The Labor Day observance highlighted the efforts of workers throughout the country, including firefighters, emergency medical staff, dispatchers, and other public safety professionals who continued to serve during the holiday period.

For volunteer fire companies, holidays are still an important time for community service.

The Foster Center Volunteer Fire Company is one of four volunteer organizations providing fire and rescue services in the Town of Foster. According to the town's municipal records, Foster Center, Moosup Valley, and South Foster fire companies, along with South Foster EMS, are the groups responsible for fire and rescue services in the community.

The Foster Center Volunteer Fire Company is based at 86 Foster Center Road and depends on volunteers to handle emergency situations, maintain equipment, and participate in training and community events.

The department's mission is to serve neighbors through emergency response, training, and community activities.

The Labor Day message also reminded people that emergency calls can happen anytime, regardless of the day.

Fire and EMS personnel remain on call and ready to respond, even as many residents enjoy the holiday with family and friends.
