Warren Department Continued to Honor Chief “OB”

Warren, RI — September 10 — Members of the Warren Fire Department honored the late Chief “OB” of Station 2 as part of a department event to remember his service and his strong ties to the fire service.

The event celebrated a former member of the Warren Fire Department and acknowledged the lasting impact he had on the department’s history.

The department has a long tradition of volunteer service, with its history going back to 1802. Today, it operates six fire companies and a rescue squad, providing emergency services to the town and surrounding areas through automatic and mutual-aid agreements.

Station 2 is identified by the department as Mechanics Engine Co.

2, with Engine 2 stationed there.

The Warren Fire Department also continues to honor the contributions of firefighters who served before the current members.

Its annual Firefighters’ Memorial event pays tribute to firefighters who have served the community throughout the department’s history.

The remembrance on September 10 gave department members a chance to honor Chief “OB” and ensure his service remains part of the department’s history.
