Windham Firefighters Join Paulie’s Push to Remember 9/11

Windham, Conn. — August 24, 2026 — As Paul Veneto traveled through the neighborhood in 2026 on his way to New York City, members of numerous fire departments in the Windham region joined him and his Paulie's Push.
Participating in the event were members of the Windham Center Fire Department, North Windham Fire Department, and South Windham Fire Department, who assisted Veneto in pushing an airline beverage cart through the neighborhood.
Veneto, a former flight attendant for United Airlines, arranged Paulie's Push, a 2026 9/11 commemoration trip. The initiative pays tribute to the flight crews that perished in the September 11, 2001 attacks on American Airlines Flight 11, United Airlines Flight 175, American Airlines Flight 77, and United Airlines Flight 93.
