FOSTER, RI — AUGUST 16 — The Foster Center Volunteer Fire Company celebrated the wedding anniversary of its fire chief and president on August 16, honoring a family deeply involved in emergency services and community efforts.

The couple has spent many years giving back to the Foster community, with one serving as fire chief and the other as the company's president, while also working as a registered nurse educator.

Their dedication extended beyond their professional roles, as two of their four children served in the U.S.Air Force, another was preparing for military service in the U.S.Army, and one was actively involved with the Foster Center Volunteer Fire Company.

The family also included Zeke, who the company recognized as Foster's first official fire dog.

The Foster Center Volunteer Fire Company operates as one of three volunteer fire departments in Foster.

According to state records, the company is located at 86 Foster Center Road, and its emergency medical services are classified as BLS.
