EAST SHELBY, NY — August 24 — The East Shelby Volunteer Fire Company honored First Assistant Chief Devin Taylor on his birthday, which fell on August 24.The company celebrated the occasion by recognizing Taylor's ongoing service and leadership within the department.

Taylor has served as the company's first assistant chief and was listed in that capacity in East Shelby's firematic leadership.

Local reports also noted his family's long history with the fire company, with his mother, Deb Taylor, serving as the fire chief, and his father, Jeff Taylor, also holding leadership roles in the fire service.

The East Shelby Volunteer Fire Company is based at 5021 East Shelby Road in Medina and is among the volunteer fire and emergency-service agencies in Orleans County.

The birthday celebration gave the department and other emergency-service personnel a chance to express their appreciation for Taylor's contributions and to wish him continued success as he continues to serve the East Shelby community.
