East Shelby Fire Company Celebrated Steven Wolter’s Birthday

EAST SHELBY, NY — August 16 — The East Shelby Volunteer Fire Company celebrated the birthday of Fire Police Chief Steven Wolter on August 16.The department honored Wolter for his contributions and extended birthday wishes as part of its ongoing efforts to support its volunteer members.
Wolter held the position of fire police chief, which involved assisting with fireground operations and providing traffic and scene management during emergency situations.
According to New York law, volunteer fire companies are permitted to form fire police squads as part of their organizational structure.
The East Shelby Volunteer Fire Company was located at 5021 East Shelby Road in Medina and provided emergency services to the local community as a volunteer organization.
State records also noted that the company was listed as an EMS training sponsor in Orleans County.
The company had a long-standing tradition of volunteer service, having been established in 1953.
Previous records and local reports also identified Wolter as the fire police chief.
The birthday recognition offered a chance for East Shelby members and the local emergency services community to express appreciation for Wolter’s continued commitment to his role.
