Dayville, CT - Dayville Fire Company has officially commenced its annual Rescue Month training program, opening with a focused evolution centered on man versus machine scenarios aimed at strengthening technical rescue readiness and operational safety.

Members worked through practical instruction involving lockout/tagout procedures to ensure proper energy isolation during equipment-related incidents, along with the use of inspection cameras to enhance hazard identification in confined and obstructed spaces. Crews also reinforced safe handling and controlled application of cutting tools used in entrapment and machinery rescue situations.

On 3 September in Windham County, Connecticut, the training session served as the formal kickoff to the month-long initiative, designed to enhance proficiency in complex rescue operations involving industrial and mechanical hazards.
