Stafford, CT - Stafford Fire Department No.1, Inc. members participated in a coordinated multi-company training with mutual aid partners from West Stafford, Tolland, and Hazardville, focusing on aerial apparatus operations and capabilities. The session included detailed walkarounds and overviews of each department’s aerial device, allowing personnel to examine truck positioning, operational reach, master stream functions, and overall truck company roles on the fireground.

Crews engaged in discussions covering setup procedures, deployment strategies, and coordination between engine and truck companies during incident operations. The training provided valuable insight into how each agency utilizes its equipment, strengthening familiarity with resources that may respond into the district or be requested for mutual aid assignments.

On August 31 in Tolland County, the drill reinforced the importance of interoperability, comunication, and unified tactics among neighboring departments. Training together in this setting ensures a more efficient and cohesive response when these specialized units are placed into service at working incidents.
