BOXFORD, MA - In August, firefighters in Boxford practiced tanker shuttle operations, honing their ability to deliver continuous water to fire scenes in areas without hydrants, officials said. The training involved rotating water tankers between a fill site and a dump site to maintain steady flow for firefighting operations. Fire officials said the drill emphasized teamwork, efficiency and readiness for rural fire response.
