— August 13, 2026 — At a 160-bed skilled nursing facility in Hagaman, firefighters from three local departments collaborated on a practical mutual-aid training exercise on Thursday nite.

Members of the Cranesville Fire Department and Perth Volunteer Fire Company also took part in the practice, which was organized by the Hagaman Volunteer Fire Department.

Pre-incident preparation and building familiarization were the main topics of the training. Firefighters were given a thorough tour of the structure by Chief Eric Sandy, who walked them from the top to the basement while going over the internal layout, mechanical systems, and entrance points.
