NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — August 19, 2026 — The Middlesex County Fire Academy hosted practical training for New Brunswick firemen on Wednesday, with an emphasis on fire-attack procedures and courtyard hose lays.

Members had the chance to practice shifting attack lines across long distances in locations where fire equipment might not be able to directly reach the fire building thanks to the training.

According to the City of New Brunswick Fire Department, firefighters focused on teamwork, communications, water supply, and coordinated fire-attack operations while working on hose deployment and progress.
