East Marion, NY - It is with profound sadness that the Chiefs announce the passing of Honorary Member, former Rescue Squad Captain, and former Commissioner Michael Griffin, who has answered his final alarm.

Michael Griffin was a dedicated EMT who devoted many years of service to the Rescue Squad and the East Marion community. His commitment, leadership, and willingness to serve others left a lasting mark on everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Even after reaching honorary status, Mike continued to contribute to the Rescue Squad. He played an integral role in the design of the latest ambulance, demonstrating the same dedication and passion for emergency services that had defined so much of his life.

His years of service, friendship, and devotion to the community will not be forgotten. The East Marion community and Rescue Squad family mourn the loss of a true public servant and friend.
