East Haddam, CT. — August 13 — A single-car motor vehicle accident was reported in Sipples Hill, prompting the East Haddam Fire Department to attend. While on his way to work, Chief Brian J. Auld noticed the collision and reported that there was one aware, awake patient who was severely stuck. The car had passed under a fallen tree that was in the middle of the road. Dylan Miller, a junior firefighter, was also acknowledged by the department upon his completion of the Connecticut Fire Academy's Advanced Skills and Concepts Program.
