Over the past 75 years, fire equipment has undergone substantial changes, but the fundamental goal of putting water on the fire has not altered. The West Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department demonstrated how technology and equipment have progressed while the fire service's mission has remained same by contrasting a 1951 fire truck with current 2026 equipment.
