The Lower Macungie Fire Department consists of over 75 dedicated men and women and has three stations: Alburtis, Brandywine, and Wescosville. The Lower Macungie Fire Department proudly protects over 38,000 people living in an area of 24 square miles. It is a 100% volunteer department, responding to between 900 and 1,000 calls a year. The department protects the boroughs of Alburtis and Macungie, as well as Lower Macungie Township, and has nine pieces of fire apparatus and six command vehicles in service.
