Canterbury Junior Members Completed Fire Academy Course

Canterbury, CT. — July 18 — Connor Cooper and Gavin Goodale, two junior members of Canterbury Volunteer Fire Company Inc., finished the Introduction to the Fire Service course in Class 58 at the Connecticut Fire Academy. Students received classroom teaching, hands-on fire service exercises, collaboration, and physical training as part of the curriculum. Throughout the course, Cooper and Goodale represented Canterbury and the fire company with professionalism, integrity, and teamwork.


As they continued to grow in the fire department, the training provided both members with new information and useful abilities. Their accomplishment represented an additional stage in their readiness for upcoming duties within the department and the larger emergency services community.
