On August 3, the Pomfret-Teago Volunteer Fire Department expressed gratitude to the community for attending their 32nd Annual Ox Pull and Barbecue.

For a day of events and fundraising, the event brought together contestants, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and members of the community. According to the department, the yearly event is made possible by the ongoing assistance.
