Medford Lakes, N.J. — August 6 — The Medford Lakes Fire Department honored a former employee whose contributions and impact are still recognized in the department's annals. Narratives about the member persisted, demonstrating the enduring influence they had on the community and fire department during many years of service. The department was founded in 1965 as a volunteer fire department, and in 1975 it took over full responsibility for Medford Lakes' fire safety.

From 10 Stokes Road, it continued to provide services to the boro and neighboring villages.
