Aiden Piernikoski, a probationary firefighter, was honored by the Downe Township Fire/Rescue and Dive Team on August 14th for both his birthday and his move into a new position within the department.

Piernikoski has been a junior firefighter for the last four years, helping out at the firehouse, on calls, and during training. As he continues to grow as a fireman, he will start the fire academy this autumn.

Members of the department acknowledged Piernikoski's ongoing dedication to Station 39 and wished him a happy birthday.
