Albany, NY - Wellsville Fire Department participated in the Next Line Youth Recruitment event at the Allegany County Fairgrounds, giving local youth an opportunity to learn about the fire service and explore emergency response equipment.

Wellsville 2 was displayed for participants, while Wellsville 1 joined Angelica Fire Department for a master stream demonstration. More than 30 children attended the event, while four Wellsville junior firefighters also participated and completed training in CPR, Stop the Bleed, and other safety skills.

The event also featured demonstrations from emergency agencies, including the Allegany County 911 Sheriff’s Office Drone Team, NYSP K-9, dispatchers, water rescue personnel, and fire prevention officials. The program focused on introducing young people to the fire service and encouraging future recruitment.
