Wakefield, R.I. — Aug. 5 — At its yearly awards event, the Union Fire District of South Kingstown, Rhode Island, 131 Asa Pond Road, honored firemen and emergency responders. In addition to other departmental awards, members were given Years of Service Awards, Unit Citations, Outstanding Number of Runs Awards, and CPR Lifesaving Awards. The department recognized career staff and volunteers for their dedication to community service, fire safety, and emergency response.
