Mashpee, MA — Aug. 5 — Group 3 executed a practical rescue exercise while the Mashpee Fire Department, located at 20 Frank Hicks Drive, did vehicle extrication training. In order to gain experience with equipment intended to secure damaged vehicles prior to rescue missions, firefighters tested the department's new vehicle stabilization jacks. Crews rehearsed patient access and stabilization methods that are frequently utilized in auto accidents.
The exercise improved synchronization and knowledge with specialized rescue equipment while reinforcing safe operating practices. Frequent training helped firemen stay proficient and made sure they were ready to handle car crises in Mashpee while safeguarding patients and other emergency personnel.
