On August 1st the Weisenberg Fire Department held a ceremony and an open house to celebrate their 20th anniversary, Remarks were given by chief Justin Oswald and there was equipment displays and activities for the children. Located in Northwestern Lehigh County They cover the entire 26 plus square miles of Weisenberg Township and provide mutual aid to surrounding municipalites. Weiensberg Township is a rural area which contains mostly single family homes and farm land, The township also has some commercial development along the I-78 corridor. Their team of volunteer firefighters provide fire protection, Respond to vehicle accidents, and assit area emergency medical crews on critical calls. They are Lehigh County station 51.
