Stewartstown, PA - The Eureka Volunteer Fire Department recognized Firefighter Ryan Gibney on his graduation from the Baltimore County Fire Department Fire-Rescue Academy.

Over the course of the program, Recruit Class 128 completed extensive training in physical fitness, firefighting, rescue operations, survival skills, and EMS. During the ceremony, Gibney was pinned by his father and grandfather and was awarded Academic Excellence as the class valedictorian, achieving the highest overall average across written, practical, and physical evaluations.

He has been assigned to Woodlawn Engine Company 3 and will begin his career service while continuing his commitment to volunteer service with the department and the surrounding community.
