Stewartstown, PA - The Eureka Volunteer Fire Department conducted a multi-part training session during its weekly drill night, focusing on both hands-on skills and operational preparedness.

Members practiced forcible entry techniques using the “Big Blue Door” training prop, completing multiple evolutions with different methods to build proficiency. Crews then transitioned to first-due familiarization, conducting walkthroughs of apartment buildings along Main Street in Stewartstown Borough. Discussions included apparatus placement, points of entry, and potential hazards.

During the training, crews were dispatched to a reported structure fire in New Freedom Borough. Ladder 54 responded but was placed back in service after arriving units determined the incident involved food on the stove.
