Exeter TWP, PA - The Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department responded to a specialized animal rescue incident off Oley Line Road involving a horse that had fallen and was unable to stand.

Upon arrival, crews assessed the situation and requested assistance from the Chester County Pennsylvania State Animal Response Team (SART) due to the complexity of the rescue.

Working together, crews coordinated efforts to safely reposition and assist the animal back to its feet. Once upright, the horse was left in the care of its owners. The incident highlighted effective interagency cooperation and the department’s capability to handle unique rescue situations.
