The Alpha Fire Company of State College, PA operates this unique traffic piece designated as Traffic 5-3. This former 1995 KME pumper was acquired by Florian Re-Apparatus and was stripped of it's tank, pump, and body and retro fitted with a Scorpion barricade and arrow board similar to what you would see on construction or DOT vehicles. The vehicle is designed to not only warn and/or close off roadways to drivers where First Responders are working but can also withstand a rear impact should the vehicle get struck again protecting First Responders.
