Grafton Ladder 1 operates an interesting truck that began its fire service career in 1987 as St. Louis MO Engine Co 9. This apparatus was originally on a 4-door Duplex chassis. After being retired from that city it was refurbished by adding a 2001 Freightliner FL80 2-door cab. The 75-foot LTI aerial and most of the original body remained after the makeover.
