Syosset, N.Y. — 5th July — During a swearing-in ceremony, the Syosset Volunteer Fire Department, located at 50 Cold Spring Road in Syosset, New York, welcomed two new volunteers. Chief 5800 continued a family legacy of volunteering in the department by administering the oath of office to his daughter and nephew. Before responding to emergency calls, the new members started their firefighting training.
