Syosset, N.Y. — 4th July — In honor of the United States' 250th anniversary, the Syosset Volunteer Fire Department, located at 50 Cold Spring Road in Syosset, New York, observed Independence Day. The department encouraged citizens to observe the holiday safely and joined Long Island towns in commemorating the country's historic milestone. The public was cautioned by fire officials to abide by local fireworks laws, keep grills away from structures, and allow emergency vehicles easy access.

Throughout the day, volunteer firefighters continued to provide uninterrupted fire, rescue, and emergency medical services. The celebration brought attention to both America's 250th birthday and the department's ongoing dedication to safeguarding the Syosset community.
