South Farmingdale, N.Y. — 4th July — In honor of the United States' 250th anniversary, the South Farmingdale Fire Department, located at 819 S. Main St., South Farmingdale, NY, observed Independence Day. The agency encouraged locals to enjoy safely over the holiday and joined Long Island towns in commemorating the country's historic milestone.


The public was advised by fire officials to abide by local fireworks regulations, keep grills away from structures, and allow emergency vehicles easy access. Volunteer firefighters continued to provide uninterrupted fire, rescue, and emergency medical services. The celebration brought attention to both America's 250th birthday and the department's ongoing dedication to safeguarding the South Farmingdale neighborhood.
