Main St., South Farmingdale, NY, observed Independence Day. The agency encouraged locals to enjoy safely over the holiday and joined Long Island towns in commemorating the country's historic milestone.

The public was advised by fire officials to abide by local fireworks regulations, keep grills away from structures, and allow emergency vehicles easy access. Volunteer firefighters continued to provide uninterrupted fire, rescue, and emergency medical services.
