Throughout the holiday, the department stayed prepared to handle emergencies and joined the community in commemorating the nation's momentous milestone. Residents were urged by fire officials to celebrate sensibly by adhering to local fireworks laws, maintaining clear emergency access routes, and dialing 911 when necessary.
