Port Washington Firefighters Celebrated Independence Day

Port Washington, N.Y. — 4th July — While commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States, the Port Washington Fire Department, located at 423 Port Washington Blvd., Port Washington, NY, celebrated Independence Day. Throughout the holiday, the department stood ready to respond to crises while joining communities throughout the country in commemorating the historic milestone.


Residents were urged by fire officials to celebrate safely by adhering to local pyrotechnics laws, maintaining clear emergency access routes, and promptly reporting any emergencies. Fire, rescue, and emergency medical services were continuously provided by volunteer firefighters. In addition to commemorating America's 250th birthday, the event emphasized the department's ongoing dedication to safeguarding the Port Washington community throughout the Fourth of July.
