Oceanside, N.Y. — 4th July — In honor of the United States' 250th anniversary, the Department Oceanside NY Fire Department, located at 65 Foxhurst Rd., Oceanside, NY, celebrated Independence Day. Throughout the holiday, the department urged locals to celebrate with friends, family, and neighbors in a responsible and safe manner. Additionally, fire officials advised the public to call 911 in the event of an emergency, maintain clear emergency access routes, and abide by local fireworks restrictions.

Throughout the day, volunteer firefighters continued to provide uninterrupted fire, rescue, and emergency medical assistance. Both the nation's historic achievement and the department's continued dedication to safeguarding the Oceanside neighborhood were represented in the observance.
