On July 17, the 30th anniversary of the disaster, the Mastic Fire Department joined the community in commemorating the 230 victims of TWA Flight 800.
In addition to acknowledging the families and loved ones whose lives were irrevocably altered, department officials paid tribute to the victims killed in the collision. The yearly remembering honors the deceased and demonstrates the community's ongoing dedication to keeping their legacy alive.
