Great Neck, N.Y. — July 4 — A pediatric trauma patient was being taken by police medivac to Cohen Children's Medical Center when the Manhasset-Lakeville Volunteer Fire Department, located at 170 East Shore Road, responded to help the Nassau County Police Department. To guarantee a safe and effective transfer for ongoing treatment, members of the department's ambulance unit collaborated with police officers, hospital employees, and emergency medical personnel.
