Great Neck, N.Y. — July 4 — The Manhasset-Lakeville Volunteer Fire Department, located at 170 East Shore Road, joined locals in commemorating the United States' 250th anniversary and Independence Day. The celebration honored the country's past while showcasing the commitment of law enforcement, firefighters, EMS workers, and military people who stayed prepared to serve throughout the holiday.


Residents were urged by department officials to celebrate responsibly by adhering to local fireworks laws, using grills safely, and keeping an eye out for potential fire threats during outdoor events. During one of the busiest weekends of the year, the department's yearly Independence Day message demonstrated its ongoing dedication to community education, disaster preparedness, public safety, and safeguarding the Great Neck region.
