Lynbrook, N.Y. — July 4 — The Lynbrook Fire Department, located on Wright Avenue, joined locals in commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States and Independence Day. The celebration honored the country's past while emphasizing the ongoing contributions of law police, firefighters, emergency medical services, and military personnel who stayed on duty over the holiday.


Residents were urged by department officials to celebrate responsibly by adhering to local fireworks laws, using grills safely, and keeping an eye out for potential fire threats during outdoor events. During one of the busiest weekends of the year, the department's annual holiday message demonstrated its continued dedication to public safety, emergency readiness, community education, and safeguarding the Lynbrook community.
