Lynbrook, N.Y. — June 27 — In honor of a century and a quarter of volunteer service to the Lynbrook community, the Lynbrook Fire Department, located on Wright Avenue, celebrated its 125th anniversary. Since its establishment in 1900, the department has responded to the community's evolving requirements by offering fire suppression, rescue services, emergency medical care, and fire safety education.

The achievement paid tribute to the generations of volunteer firefighters who contributed to the development of a robust tradition of public service. The department's ongoing emphasis on training, mutual aid collaboration, and resident protection through expert emergency response and community engagement initiatives was also highlighted by the anniversary.
